Common questions
The list is empty. What’s That looks within 400 m, then widens to 1.5 km. In quiet areas, try “Somewhere else” to explore a different spot on the map.
It says I’ve reached today’s limit. Each phone can generate 30 new stories and ask 60 follow-up questions a day. Stories someone has already heard don’t count. The limit resets at midnight UTC, and saved stories always stay readable.
The voice sounds robotic. Download a higher-quality voice in iOS Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices, then pick it in What’s That → Settings.
A fact is wrong. Stories are written by AI from Wikipedia and web sources, listed under each story. Please tell us so we can improve it.
Location access. What’s That only uses your location while the app is open. You can change this in iOS Settings → What’s That → Location.
